I have had some ideas that i thought would be fun. one would be disasters, like a radiation storm or some kind of supermutant emerging from the ground. these disasters could either be triggered by someone finding something or just happen every 15 minutes or so. also, i think there should be more monster diversity, or at least more zombies. maybe every so often a combine force could land in the middle of the waste and try to "capture" survivors. also, i love to make contraptions with wiremod, but its a pain to do without the expression 2 chip, i would really like to use this, maybe with a cost or something, but i like to make my own turrets and vehicles.

Hey, Thanks for the sugestions.

First the E2 Issue. The reason we restricted E2 to respected was becouse of minges, we tried leaving it open for a while, but people were using it in ways that did not fit in with the gamemode and were using it to kill one another. The Cost idea is not a bad one. Will debate on that one.

The radiation storm is something a few have sugested. Currently debating on that one too.

As for more mobs, we have so far been working with existing in gaem models to reduce download size for players. We have to be carfull with this or we will have to release a addon that people will need just to play the gamemode, and we have been trying to keep away from that.

Not sure about introducing the combine into the picture.

I can see many problems with these suggestions emerging, and much argument on whether or not they actually improve game play. I'm in highest approval of the combine raids. In-fact, I think I'm going to add a detailed version of this suggestion. http://gmdev.thercs.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=34

Not sure on Combine being introduced yet. It is something that me and eldar will discuss to see how we would fit it in game and if it would fit the feel we've been going for. It's an interesting idea, but a definite maybe.

i had a new idea for a map, something like a burned out and exploded version of gm_bigcity, i think it would be fun to have an elevation element, i would love to make my base high in the upper levels of a burned out building.

Not a bad idea, may do something like that a few maps down the road. After wastedwaters I plan on working on a city map, so we shall see for the map after that.
In the mean time we tested rp_salvation and is does not seem to cause problems any more, so we will have it added in the near future.

if i knew how to use the hammer editor i would try to start on something like that, if i find the time ill try to learn it

there should be time where it gets dark and a time where it get light like day and night. Also there should be one of those Image ICHTHYOSAUR in the game that swim in the water. :twisted:. Sorry i couldnt get a smaller picture :D

i agree, icthyosaurs should inabit the water, cause right now its actually safe...no where should be safe
