New Really Bad Miner Glitch

I just discovered today that something's up with the automated sonic miners. Now, for whatever reason, they produce their scrap and small parts and send them underground. To avoid losing the materials they produce i'm stuck to placing them on top of buildings and checking inside for scraps, very annoying new bug!

Edit: Some of the materials they make still appear on the ground where you placed them, but the same amount is sent into the ground :/
