i vote option 2 on devil's post, they can be anywhere, but you'd have to press F2 twice on them to actually buy them

The display item will have a tooltip/label that will show when you look at it (similar to pet names for example). This will show the cost.

If I did the F2 option, I would use a verification thing.

The one thing that might prove interesting is the sale of pets by this method. You would either have to lock pets out of this functionality, or implement something which would stop them from being killable while they are for sale.

I think you misunderstood how it will work. It will not be spawning the item, but will be spawning something that will look like the item.

most likely just be a hologram of all the items or something simular. so it wont necessarily "be" anything.

It's obvious that it'd have a confirmation box. Plus, it'd probably have a price popup when you moused over anyways. Honestly, it's not a bad idea. Probably should have done it instead of the vendors, but the vendor's are still pretty cool. Well, either way, it might be something to consider.
