a few tweaks?

Right so the last 2 days i have managed to crash the server with larva breeding -_-. i talked to crazy ad came up with the compromise of only having 10 larva out at any given time. BUT from what crazy has told me the larva will be made alot different soon and wont bug out like that, so thats kinda allready gona be fixed.

When breeding i nowticed i can get way more scrap and SP in just 20mins of breeding than i could from an hour with 3 thumpers out (2 large 1 small), Since i herd breeding is being nerfed and fixed i would still suggest more scrap and sp should come from thumpers. im a level 2 scavenger and thumpers still dont give all that much.

A second thing i wanted to suggest was a way to salvage more than just one thing at a time, having 76 larva and salvaging each seperatly wasnt a great time for me on the server -_- just like a scroll bar the same as when you buy food into crates would work, stick a number in and salvage comes up with 1 message of what you have gained. just would help so much better.

Anyways Just a few thought i wanted to share with you :)

i guess those'd all be good ideas, but i dunno about the worm bug being fixed soon...we still have to code for gmod 13, set priorities and stuff :lol:

still tons of bugs that need to be fixed, but i'd like a good feature update (which is coming) before bugs are prioritized.

by soon i didnt mean right away xD. i just know that in time it will be done, and since everyones being reset after beta if finished then this bug isnt really going to effect much atm :)

Moved this to sugestion.

We will be addressing the grub issue in the next update fro GMod 13, since we are not moving player data over, it provides a good chance to take care of this before it becomes a issue again.

One of the planned updates is that the player will have to "pair" two grubs together for them to breed.
There are two other balancing thigns that we will be doing that I will not go into at the momeny since they are still in planning phase.
We will also be rebalancing the salvage rates and the breeding rates as well.

As for the miner rates, those are not that bad acually, and can be modified via a skill as well.

thats what im saying, im level 2 skill and they still dont produce much atall. in 1 hour i make about 250 scrap from 2 of the giant miners :/

We have to be carfull how much we let tools produce or it will unbalance everything. We dont really want to make it so you never have to go scavange for materials again.

We will be looking at the rates of all the tools when we start working on the grubs acually. Currently we are still trying to convert all the save functions to sql still. :P

yeh i get ya. im not saying make it 100x better just a little boost, he whole fun of the game is scavenging :P

The worms are getting reworked, so no worries there. There's gonna be some balancing with them once they're better designed. Even better, it'll be a more understandable system, so you guys can streamline your processes.

On miners, well, don't know what changes will happen to them. I don't think they get a huge boost. IIRC, max skill makes it drop 33% faster. I'll check, but that should be right. And that's plenty, I think. That makes it so the mini miner drops one every 40 seconds, and the mega every 20. It may get more balance fixes, but that's one of our more balanced tools.
