I thought maybe have some type of electricity for things like lights or lamps maybe even have a emegency generator

something like life support? I know it already has lights and such that require you to generate power to keep them running, but IMO(and what others say) unless someone makes a custom version, I dont think that they are going to include LS on this server.

Cool idea, but yes it would have to be custom. Not sure if we can spare the dev time on a brand new feature like that any time soon.

Instead of having to generate electricity for lights would it be possible to make batteries for a material needed to craft things like AR2 or other energy based weapons?(Not saying to go full fallout feel, but if your in a post nuke world you would probably have some energy based weapons)? That could add a new element for players, could use a generator to produce them like the miner, scientists could use them to make energy weapons, and they could be something more rare than any other resource(or be only produced buy converting chems and scrap into them using a generator like a furness). they may also open PostNuke to new possibilities down the road... (If i was a dev, I'd add them to the maybe list... ;) )
PostNuke need just a few things... More npc types (such as combine that over run the map if there are more then so many people on, or rebels that act as raiders and give better use for guns), and a map that doesn't seem so empty...

That's actually an interesting idea, although it's pretty difficult to add and balance a new weapon, plus how it would be advantagous to use over other weapons. I'll keep the idea in mind.

well for advantages(, other than being cool) could be with weight, they could be almost identical to their normal counterparts, but be a lot lighter(then again, maybe i'm the only one who tries to pack light...), or make them more powerful, but expensive, heavy, and slow... or be fast to shoot, but long reload, and little damage... they still would need some balancing in with everything( I think should need more then one class to make(have a class that has to craft batteries the other has to craft the gun)), and possibly a new model(which leads to longer join times and more people turned away...), other than that its a good idea, that one day could be a cool peace of content...
